evenTech Ireland introduce a new networking bar

23 September 2008

With evenTech Ireland (18-19 November, 2008 - RDS Dublin) fast approaching, the final touches are being made to the design of the central feature bar for the upcoming event.

The expansive bar space will operate as an innovative showroom and networking area, fore-fronting the latest ideas and usage of entertainment technology for that environment.
The evenTech brand revolves around a focused, regional exhibition, traditionally spread across two days. Networking is a key part of its success: key decision-makers and influencers from the region are able to spend time with exhibitors, making new business contacts and discussing the latest products with a view to inclusion in upcoming projects.

The bar has been designed by Dublin’s AVL Systems and will feature the very latest technology for the bar and club environment, including a number of newly-launched products. “The aim,” according to AVL’s Mark Fay, “is to create the perfect environment – to show how operators could put together and use the latest technology available from the areas of lighting, sound and video.”

He continues, “In Ireland, no one has yet put on a dedicated forum where you can see new technologies put together in different ways – and as an investment area it’s huge for theatres, hotels and bars, so evenTech Ireland is going to be a very exciting opportunity for visitors and exhibitors alike.

“In the central bar – as well as throughout the exhibition – people can actually touch, feel and see what a product can or can’t do – and those products will become the definitive products in Ireland, so it is well worth exhibiting.”

Exhibitors appreciate the emphasis evenTech Ireland dedicates to this strong networking focus. Crestron’s marketing manager, Petra van Meeuwen, agrees, “Ireland is a very important market for us and evenTech Ireland gives our Ireland office the perfect opportunity to meet a lot of the market – and one the company won’t miss out on.
“Crestron product is not simple but a whole technology of hardware and software: The networking element of evenTech is very important to Crestron as we will gain access to all the people who will have something to say in the industry. Crestron gain so much through networking and word of mouth – so the show is very advantageous for us.”

Ian Bowler of Duran Audio, supports the sentiment, “The show will give customers in Ireland a unique opportunity to meet face to face with dealers and manufacturers in the industry. As a company, we see evenTech Ireland as a great opportunity to raise the profile of the AXYS brand in the region. It’s definitely an important market for us and evenTech Ireland is a great way for us and the other exhibitors to demonstrate our commitment to the region.”
Tom Back of Alcons Audio, agrees: “evenTech Ireland is offering a close one-to-one contact with those interested in Ireland. With this profile, it's the only show with this dedicated, regional approach. For this, we decided to sign-up for the three coming shows, to support this tradeshow initiative.

“Not only will it help to get our specific Alcons message across in a much more qualitative manner – specifically through personal contacts and a new, strong network, it will also bring the latest technologies and developments to those in that region that cannot or will not attend the large national or international shows. Though Internet takes away the 'launch' importance of a show, there's still nothing like touching and seeing the 'tangible product' in real life.”

Kramer Electronics’ Nick Mawer, adds a final comment, “We see a lot of Irish customers at shows in the UK and mainland Europe, so we know that there is a desire in Ireland to see new things.  The Irish market is important, and it is right to support the country with its own show. By getting to know the market more intimately, with a better understanding of our customer requirements, we will all do more business together. It’s going to be a very positive show.”
