Lighthouse at Vancouver's BC Place


Lighthouse and TS Sports have completed the installation of four huge LED video screens at BC Place in Vancouver, home of MLS' Vancouver Whitecaps and the CFL's BC Lions, to create the world's second largest centre-hung LED video system, a visually-arresting four-sided system that also serves as the origin for BC Place's new suspension bridge-style retractable fabric roof.

With design by Anthony James Partners, the centre-hung LED video system features Lighthouse’s new Impact 16 LED video product, an exceptionally bright 16mm-pitch LED video panel designed for both indoor and outdoor arenas and stadiums, particularly venues facing conditions involving high-intensity ambient light.

With over 6,500 square feet of LED video, the centre-hung screens fill the stadium with colourful animations, sponsor messages, Lions' replays, Whitecaps' player introductions, custom video, and live concert and special event coverage.

With 518 metre of fascia display and 168 metre of pitchside display - over two million individual LED video pixels - Lighthouse 20mm fascia panels electrify BC Place's revitalised atmosphere, and place the stadium firmly among the world's premier venues.

Lighthouse's 20mm fascia and pitchside displays present real-time statistics, sponsor messages, and crowd-wowing animations, enabling BC Place to combine the excitement of live sporting events with the electronic creature comforts of home. With its new retractable roof system, BC Place is host to two professional sports teams, concerts, indoor expositions and special events. The transformation from indoor to outdoor or vice versa takes only 20 minutes.
