Nexo's London Legacy Lives On

Already boasting an illustrious following among lounge nightclubs in London’s clubland, including Mortons, Raffles, Stringfellows, Vendome, Bungalow 8 and Le Pigalle, Nexo has been given a big boost by new super-club Pulse, which has chosen a GEO S12 system for its primary space.

Pulse, also known as Bankside Vaults, is built into four spectacular interlinked brick arches, right beside Blackfriars Bridge in central London.

The Vaults provide a wonderful blank canvas, suitable for any event ranging from private dinners for 50 to extravagant parties for over 1300. Divided naturally into four main interlinked areas, the space can be adapted for any occasion. Its primary space is equipped with a performance stage, recently used by Erick Morillo for a record-breaking crowd of 2,500 people, which has been fitted with a Nexo GEO S12 system, underpinned by Nexo’s hugely powerful RS15 subbass units.

The installation of GEO S12 in Pulse follows the success of a smaller system at sister club Arcadia. The two projects have been overseen by Hugh Sadlier of London-based installation company Viba Sound, who has an excellent working relationship with Mark Ames, proprietor of both venues.

Viba Sound has placed a five cabinet-a-side system on stage at Pulse, each array comprising four GEOS1210's plus one S1230. The hangs are suspended from a steel tramway, which allows them to be pushed to the back of the stage area or brought forward to a front-of-house position.  Under the stage facing the dancefloor/audience area are eight Nexo RS15 subs. There are four more subs at the back of this huge arch, and Viba Sound is able to position additional loudspeaker stacks here should the event require supplementary reinforcement. Nexo PS15's are on stage as DJ monitors.
